WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A CBE AMBASSADOR?
A big part of why I wanted to be an ambassador was to help incoming students navigate their first years in the College of Business and Economics. When I was a freshman, I had no idea which way to turn, which classes to take, or what I wanted to major in. Now there is a whole new batch of students exactly where I stood several years ago, and I can use my own experience at the University of Idaho to ease the way for them. I found my home in the College of Business and Economics, and hopefully, others will find that same sense of community.
WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCES?
The Barker Capital Management Group has been my favorite experience so far. It is a series of classes that teaches you about trading in the stock market. If you continue past the introductory classes, you can actually become an individually funded trader. The classes really stood out to me because they are not classes you can float through. You have to put in the work, because it is obvious if you don’t. If nothing else, the Barker Capital Management Group has shown me the real meaning of getting an education.
