WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A CBE AMBASSADOR?
I wanted to be an ambassador for the College of Business and Economics because I believe it is my responsibility to make sure that potential students especially transfer students, know about what we offer here at the University of Idaho that is different from other schools. I am a community college transfer student from the College of Western Idaho. Choosing a school after my first two years was a difficult task. I hadn’t considered U of I until a finance professor I had at CWI told me about the great things that were going on in Moscow. I want to make sure that nobody misses out on the excellent education they can receive here, because they don’t know about the CBE at U of I.
WHAT HAS BEEN ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE EXPERIENCES?
My favorite experience in the CBE at U of I has been taking BUS 465 Introduction to Market Trading and using the Barker Bulls and Bears Trading room in the basement of the Albertson building. The opportunity to learn hands-on market trading is something not available at many other institutions.
The best advice I can give to new students in the CBE is to make sure that you develop good study habits, because it will help so much as classes get more difficult. Study groups are basically the best thing since scrambled eggs!
