CBE Grads in the Workforce: Keith Nida

Thousands of students have received degrees from the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics (CBE). Our alumni are leaders in business organizations around the country and the world.

Last spring, we asked some of our soon-to-be graduates to describe their CBE experience and to tell us about their plans following their May 2008 graduation. These are their stories.

The Boeing Company

"My experience with the CBE has been absolutely great. If I had to choose one aspect about the CBE that I appreciate the most, it would have to be the fact that I have developed strong relationships with all of my professors. The professors in the CBE are not only extremely valuable assets within the classroom but are also excellent friends and resources. I am constantly interacting outside of the classroom with my professors. Through this interaction, I have been able to discover new opportunities in business and learn more about the “real world” than I would expect to learn in the classroom. Through discussions with professors I was able to realize how valuable internships were and was able to pursue an internship opportunity last summer with Micron Technology.


"After graduation, I will begin work for The Boeing Company in the Business Career Foundation Program located in Seattle, Washington. This is a very competitive two-year rotational program, where I will participate in numerous four-month rotational assignments in the following areas; accounting, business operations, contracts, cost management, estimating/pricing, financial planning and procurement. I will also have the option to do one free elective, which will most likely be in marketing. This program appealed to me on many levels, but is attractive in the sense that it slightly mirrors the Integrated Business Curriculum here at the University of Idaho."
