2009 VIEW Speaker Series


VIEW’s vision is to develop tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, who will drive the success of traditional and emerging organizations and will build the infrastructure for modern Idaho. To do so will require that VIEW create an entrepreneurial climate among all sectors of the economy in its effort to transform ideas and innovations to marketable products and services; to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial networks to effectively transfer new technologies to Idaho’s industries and business; and to develop work-ready graduates equipped with globally competitive ideas for new products, service, and infrastructure.

Thanks to the generous corporate donations from Wells Fargo Bank, the VIEW Entrepreneurship Speaker Series began in the fall semester of 2008 and will continue through the 2013 spring semester. The entrepreneurship speaker series is open to the campus and the local community.

This event is open to the public.  Thursday, March 21, 2013 5:00 - 6:15 in the Silver and Gold rooms in the Student Union Building.
October 22 - Andrew Bielat
Andrew Bielat is the founder of the Pilot Advisors and EIS Analytics. Pilot is an advisory firm specializing in business performance improvement. As a consultant, facilitator, coach, and software developer, he is especially adept at designing and delivering "turnaround" performance-culture change programs, providing companies with the means for perpetual growth. Andrew's focus is on practical research and providing clients with the "best-fit, best-value" practices and services. His stated mission is to revolutionize the relationship between consultants and clients by providing comprehensive services with rigorous practices that ensure a tangible return on investment. Andrew received a Bachelor in Science degree from the other U of I, the University of Illinois, Champaign - Urbana, in Mechanical Engineering and graduated with honors.
October 22 - Stan Buratto
Stan Buratto is the Chairman/CEO of LifeLast, Inc. a coatings manufacturer in Vancouver, Washington which he owns with his two sons. He is also the owner of The Plus One Group a company of various technologies. Stan joined WOW Energies as Vice-President in April. Stan has 40 years experience working in the chemical, coatings, pulp and paper, water treatment and oil and gas business in technical, sales and management positions. Stan has developed patents in the coatings, pulp and paper, wood treating, and industrial cleaning businesses. Stan has Chemistry and Business degrees from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Stan started his career with Shell Chemical Company working for the Industrial Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Resins Divisions. Stan went on to found and run three companies in various chemical industries before joining WOW Energies.
