Barker Capital Management and Trading Program

Students gain valuable investment and trading experience in the Barker Bulls and Bears Trading Room. Faculty provide individualized mentoring on real-time futures, commodities and securities trading systems. Students then become authorized to trade their personal accounts valued from $10,000 to $35,000 each. Learn more about the Barker Capital Management and Trading Program.

Davis Investment Group

Students learn the art of analyzing companies and making investment decisions. Each student in the Davis Program has responsibility for following and reporting on assigned stocks within the Davis Portfolio and makes buy/sell recommendations to the group, which manages a portfolio valued at more than $400,000. Realized income and capital gains are distributed to the University of Idaho general scholarship fund and to the CBE scholarship fund. Students also experience actual trading floor environments and other financial institutions in annual trips to major financial centers in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco. 
 

D.A. Davidson Program

A $50,000 portfolio managed by students in the Security Analysis and Portfolio Management courses.
