Mary Jane Bedegi
CFO, Nokia Growth Partners
Mary Jane led Nokia Growth Partners, the venture capital arm of Nokia Corporation to establish offices in China, India and Europe. Mary Jane has held various finance positions at Silicon Graphics and Ernst & Young. She received her MBA in finance from UC Berkeley, a BS in accounting from UI and is a CPA.
Andrew Bielat
CEO, EIS Analytics
Andrew is a nationally recognized expert in business performance and leadership. His background in corporate America, followed by a decade as an executive advisor for hundreds of business executives, enabled him to develop Profit Hawk™ software. Andrew recently coauthored a book: “The BestPossible® Enterprise: A Comprehensive Guide to Optimal Profits.”
Drew Blankenbaker
Executive Director of the Clearwater Resource Conservation & Development Council
Drew specializes in non-profit organization management and development. His bachelor’s is in environmental studies from the University of Montana and he has a master’s of public administration in city/urban, community and regional planning from UI.
Greg Brown

Greg manages a multifamily office that serves ultrahigh net worth clients. He has launched, built, and sold three technol-ogy companies. Greg earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York and the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, and a bachelor’s in business from the UI.

Doug Chadderdon ‘82 is the President, CEO, and majority owner/managing partner of Great Floors®, headquartered in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Under Doug’s leadership, sales have grown tenfold over 22 years from $12M to $128M. He earned his bachelor’s in finance/marketing from UI. He serves on the CBE Advisory Board, the Idaho Community Foundation Board and EPSCoR Committee.
Annette Elg
Senior VP/CFO Simplot Company
Annette has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the J. R. Simplot Company since 2002. She joined Simplot in 1989 and has held various positions, including VP and Corporate Controller, and VP and Controller for the Food Group. She has represented Simplot in numerous community activities. Annette is a graduate of the CBE and completed the Executive Program at Amos Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College. She is chair-elect of the CBE Advisory Board.

Scott Green

Scott is CEO of one of the largest law firms in the world. He leads the approximately 1000 attorneys and staff comprising the firm. Scott has more than 20 years’ management, finance and compliance experience and is an award-winning author. He is a CPA and has a B.S. in accounting from the University of Idaho and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Jamie Haas
Founder, MJ3 Industries
Jamie is founder of MJ3 Industries, a start-up based on her UI physics dissertation. MJ3 develops nanocoatings for veterinary and human orthopedic devices to enhance bonding between bone and implant. Jamie is co-owner of two North Idaho veter-inary clinics and chief veterinarian at a contract research organ-ization. She took 3rd in the 2012 VIEW Business Plan Competi-tion
Edward Hawkins
Founder & Keeper of Values, Litehouse
Edward is a lifelong veteran of Litehouse. After college and a stint as an elementary school teacher, 25-year-old Edward joined the salad dressing business full time. This was his life-long passion, and his first official job was a mixer in the pro-duction department. Edward was also the financial manager. In 1985, he added responsibility for operations. He was CEO and President. Today, Edward serves on the board of direc-tors. He earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the UI.
Karl Johnson
Owner, Palouse Properties & Johnson News Agency
Karl Johnson ’72 has owned the Johnson News Agency, Inc. since 1972. The news agency was a wholesale distributor of books and periodicals throughout north Idaho, including three retail outlets until 1996 when it was converted to a real estate investment company. Karl has also been co-owner and Presi-dent of Palouse Properties, Inc. since 1996. He is a lifelong resi-dent of Moscow, President of Moscow Affordable Housing Trust, and licensed private pilot.
Jeffrey Jones
Jeff is a 20-year veteran of economic development and land planning. He also worked as a senior consultant for Equity Advisors Consulting Group LLC in Boise. He received a bachelor’s in travel and tourism from Brigham Young University and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. Jeff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and Certified Facilitator for the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program.

Thomas Lansing is a winner of the 2012 Social Entre-preneurship track of the VIEW competition. His com-pany, Carp Solutions, manufactures and sells Organic Fertilizer made from invasive European Carp.
Clint Marshall
Principal, Unicep, LLC
Clint holds management responsibilities for UPI’s finance and business development functions. He oversees the company’s finances in entirety and directs sales and program management functions. UPI, based in Sandpoint, Idaho, is a contract manu-facturer of pharmaceuticals. Before joining UPI, Clint served as Director of OEM Development for Telect, Inc. in Liberty Lake, Washington. He earned his BS in business (accounting) from the UI and is a CPA.
Don Melendez
President, Wells Fargo
Don has more than 30 years’ banking experience and joined Wells Fargo in 1997 as a district manager. His community roles included membership of the El Paso Community Foun-dation, chairman of the El Paso Collaborative, and member-ship of the El Paso Chamber of Commerce Government Legis-lative Committee and El Paso Community College Founda-tion Board. He has a bachelor’s of business administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dale Miller
Partner, Pacific Wealth Management Group
Dale serves as the managing partner of the firm's Pacific Wealth Management Group. He is cofounder of a technology company that enables voting and other highly authenticated transactions to occur on the internet. He earned a BA in busi-ness economics and English from Willamette University, at-tended graduate courses at the Wharton School, and received the Certified Portfolio Manager designation from Columbia University.
Josh Riley
President, Ruckus Fermentation
Josh is president of Ruckus Fermentation, which is revolu-tionizing the brewing process. He has a bachelor’s in oper-ations management and supervision, and a bachelor’s in PGA golf management, both from the UI.
Ric Rocca
President, Darios Investments
Ric Rocca ’77 held a variety of financial and executive positions during his corporate career at Marriott/Sodexo. Ric is presi-dent of Darios Investments—a franchisee of Jimmy Johns Sandwich shops. Darios operates six Jimmy Johns in Spokane and has the rights to four more stores, including one in Mos-cow and Lewiston, Idaho. Ric received an MBA from WSU.
Tom Ryan
CEO, Athena Chiefs
Tom run Athena OPS, which provides Outsourced Profes-sional Service (OPS) for cloud-based B2B software compa-nies. He focuses primarily on start-up and fast-growth busi-nesses. Tom is an advisor for several start-ups in Washing-ton and Idaho and runs a group of over 30 start-up CEOs called “Birds of a Feather.” He has degrees in management and computer science from the UI.
Gene Taft
President, Summit Marine Services
Gene is managing partner of Louisiana MidStream Terminals. He received bachelors degrees in geography and economics at the UI and attended West Virginia University in mineral eco-nomics. Gene also holds an MBA from Tulane University. He is a governor appointee on the Louisiana Pilotage Fee Commis-sion and serves on the Executive Committee.
Bryan Timm
Executive Vice President & COO, Columbia Sportswear
Bryan joined Columbia Sportswear Company in June 1997 as Corporate Controller and was named Chief Financial Officer in July 2002. In April 2008, Bryan was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and named Executive Vice Presi-dent that October. Before Columbia, he held various finan-cial positions with other companies, including KPMG LLP. He serves on the UI CBE Advisory Board.
Rick Sparks
COO, IShoutOut
Rick is an Idaho native and proud Vandal alumnus. He spent four years on the Palouse where he was active in the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, numerous campus service organizations, and ASUI. Rick served as an ASUI senator, vice president and lobbyist at the state legislature. His professional career includes various sales and marketing roles with Procter & Gamble, Frito-Lay, Nabisco and Kraft Foods. Rick launched the eSales business at Kraft working with companies, such as Amazon.com.
Robert Urso
COO, KMS Solutions
Bob helps organizations assess and improve their external market focus. He provides clients with technology-based solu-tions. Bob has an M.S. in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and a bachelor’s in accounting from UI. He is a graduate of the US Naval War College’s Strat-egy & Policy Course and is a Captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve Component.
