The Ideal Living-and-Learning Environment
The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful and inviting region of the country. Moscow offers the convenience and charm of a small town with the university's exciting panorama of activities. A vital part of our Northwest community, the University of Idaho is nestled in the heart of the Palouse, miles of rolling wheat fields and evergreens. The peaceful retreat atmosphere encourages participants to focus on course content as well as professional and interpersonal interaction.
To complement the UEC curriculum, we have developed several outstanding network-building opportunities. Activities range from whitewater rafting on the Salmon River to sturgeon fishing in Hells Canyon to a dinner cruise on Coeur d'Alene Lake. We also host a number of educational tours. And for the outdoor enthusiast, some of the nation's most spectacular lakes, rivers, and mountains are within easy driving distance.
In addition to the exercise facilities at the Best Western University Inn, the Student Recreation Center located on the University of Idaho campus provides an opportunity for participants to work-out, play, and relax. Features of the 10,000-square-foot building include two full-sized gymnasiums, indoor running track, locker rooms with saunas, weight training and cardio fitness areas, circuit training mezzanine, and a 55-foot climbing pinnacle.
If you enjoy golfing, we also have a beautiful 18-hole course on campus. You can purchase a pass for three weeks of unlimited play. You can bring your own golf clubs and other sports equipment or plan to rent while you are here. We will provide volleyballs and other equipment (e.g., for softball) for those who wish to participate in athletic events.
This year, the Idaho Repertory Theatre (IRT) celebrates its 60th season at the University of Idaho. IRT is well-known in the region for its high quality, professional productions.
