Now in its 61st consecutive year, the Utility Executive Course (UEC) has earned a worldwide reputation as the premier industry-driven executive education program designed specifically for utility leaders.
UEC was created by the University of Idaho in partnership with the utility industry. It provides an accelerated path for those interested in leadership and teaches the fundamentals to move in an executive direction. The first class of 33 attendees has grown into a sustainable partnership spanning six decades that has brought top faculty and participants to campus. UEC’s strong reputation has provided a dynamic environment where participants build networks and exchange ideas on best practices.
The course covers 25 topic areas over three weeks. Individuals from across the job spectrum are represented from the utility industry ranging from human resources and customer service to executive leaders and operations. For an overview of job functions, see the accompanying chart.
