Director of Application and System Programming Executive Director, Project Compass Avista Utilities
His responsibilities include management of Avista’s major customer service system and enterprise asset management replacement project, and oversight of enterprise application architecture and data architecture, enterprise integration application, development, and support. Previous experience includes software development in medical billing, electronic medical records management, and energy trading and risk management, utility operational, and back office systems. Pat attended ITT Technical Institute and City University and holds an EET degree.

Chief Information Officer, Kootenai Health
Steve has transformed information services and created a strategic vision for a world-class IT organization. Since joining Kootenai Health in 2012, he has tripled the size of the information services staff, reduced outsourcing by 59%, and restructured the entire IT organization. He has led the insourcing of server and network support and the help desk, as well as replaced the email system with a unified communications system, and the integration of over 100 managed interfaces. In addition, he initiated a successful transition of SyMed to Kootenai Health Information Services, resulting in the acquisition of NextGen and the creation of a new organization to support the needs of four critical access hospitals in the region. Previous experience includes serving as vice president and chief information officer at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California, and chief operating officer for Perot Systems Corporation at St. Joseph’s Health System in Anaheim, California. He holds a BS in applied mathematics with an emphasis in scientific programming from the University of California, San Diego, an MS in business information technology from Kingston University Business School in London, England, and a PhD in applied management decision sciences with an emphasis in information systems management from Walden University.

Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Idaho Power Company
Lonnie is responsible for enhancing the information technology department’s customer focus, financial stewardship, leadership development, as well as ensuring compliance and security across the IT function. Lonnie joined Idaho Power in May 2006 as a director of human resources. He has worked with many teams across the company during his tenure, leading efforts to maximize organizational effectiveness and build strong, effective business processes. Before joining Idaho Power, he had a 20 year career in the paper/chemical industry, including various leadership positions in manufacturing operations, total quality/process improvement, project management, and all facets of human resources. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Idaho.

Vice President of Information Technology and IT Manager, Intermountain Community Bancorp (IMCB)
Scott oversees IT strategic direction and daily operations for Idaho’s largest community bank with 19 branches, 320 employees, and assets totaling $970 million. His responsibilities include the administration of systems, all software applications, vendor management, data infrastructure, development, telecommunications, network, external websites, disaster recovery, and data processing. In addition, he leads strategic and project planning, and technology budget policies, procedures, and training. Previous experience includes web development for IMCB, and serving as web application developer and customer service manager for Enhanced Software Products, Inc. in Spokane, Washington. He holds a BS in computer science from Eastern Washington University.

Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Coldwater Creek
Jim Upchurch is vice president and chief information officer for Coldwater Creek. Prior to Coldwater Creek, he was vice president of technical shared services for Advance Auto Parts in Roanoke, Virginia. He also worked as a consultant with Accenture, focusing in retail ERP system implementations for large retailers, and has spent time managing IT infrastructure in semiconductor manufacturing. Jim started his career as a United States Army Officer in the Signal Corps. He holds a BS in electrical engineering from Gonzaga University, and an MS in management of information technology from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce in Charlottesville, Virginia.
