The Executive MBA—Benefits
The University of Idaho Executive MBA is ideal for working managers and professionals on an executive track who want to enhance their leadership skills with a quality business degree without interrupting their careers. The two-year program combines the rigor and depth of a traditional MBA with integrated learning and a flexible, work- and family-friendly format of an executive program.
"The deftly integrated curriculum in this program gave me a refined business acumen which keeps me current and competitive in the professional marketplace."
Tasha Thomas, Product Line Manager-Global Young Athletes Apparel, Nike, Inc
(Class of 2009)
Access to the College of Business and Economics’ Top Faculty
With over 14 years of experience delivering the college’s award winning Integrated Business Curriculum, CBE faculty are adept at designing and delivering an integrated learning experience and are skilled at facilitating classroom interaction among experienced students.
Outstanding Peer Group
Classroom and study group interaction is an important part of the Idaho EMBA. Students learn as much from the experience and insights of the other students as they do from the instructors.
Students look at business problems from a CEO’s perspective. They become knowledgeable about key business disciplines, but focus just as much on integrating this knowledge with their prior background and experience.
At the executive level, building cooperative relationships is as important as competing. Our collaborative classroom environment and study groups teach students how to share responsibilities and take advantage of each others’ experience and knowledge for mutual benefit—a skill directly transferable to their work.
Students will have opportunities to design projects that allow them to solve real problems they face at work. This not only enriches their education, but also has a positive impact on job performance.
Students develop a strategic perspective which helps build leadership skills to support their career growth and prepare them for executive responsibilities.
