The Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Golf Management program at the University of Idaho provides a unique and rewarding atmosphere, and is designed to attract and educate highly motivated men and women seeking careers as golf professionals. Students must have a golf handicap of 12.0 or better, as certified by a member of the PGA, a high school golf coach or current USGA handicap card.

    Get Involved
    Hands-On Learning Students of the PGA Golf Management program are able to play on the University of Idaho Golf course.  
    The spacious 150-acre course upgraded its practice facilities for students to improve their game.  
    Internships The internship program is an essential portion of our PGA Golf Management program. These internships give students the opportunity to apply classroom theories and learning experiences into a professional environment. Throughout the internships, students will meet and work with professionals in the golf industry and gain exposure to a wide variety of programs.
    • Students are required to complete 16 months of compensated internships in order to graduate.
    • Internships are performed at various types of facilities such as private/country club setting, resort, public, municipal, section offices, teaching academies, tournament organizations, PGA Headquarters, etc.

    Internship Sequence are as follows:
    Freshmen summer - 3 months
    Sophomore summer - 3 months
    Junior summer - 3 months
