Ways to Give
For more information about making a gift to the University of Idaho, please contact Chandra Zenner Ford at 208-364-9908 or Toni Broyles at 208-885-2634.
The University of Idaho Foundation, Inc. accepts gifts made with either a Visa or MasterCard over the phone, by mail or online.
Dean's Excellence Fund
These funds touch all aspects of campus life, scholarship support, to student internships, to mentoring and other professional development. They help sustain academic programs, faculty development, the college's information technology infrastructure and other current needs. The purpose of these discretionary funds is to help bridge the gap between appropriated funds and what is needed, in order to provide the very best educational experience. They also help support "extra dimension" programs and special projects for students and faculty that otherwise could not be offered.
The need for scholarships is great, and there are many opportunities for giving. You can contribute to a general scholarship fund from which awards are made each year. Or, you may choose to create an endowment – or contribute to an existing one – that is invested and managed by the University of Idaho Foundation and awarded over time to benefit students in specific colleges and programs. Scholarship gifts in any amount are appreciated and welcomed. The Foundation’s professional staff can provide you with the detailed information about how you can provide scholarship assistance to our students.
Cash gifts are always encouraged and the simplest way to make a gift to the University of Idaho. They can be directed to any college program, school, or area of your choice, and can be for outright expenditures or added to the endowment, with the income available for the University of Idaho's use.
Holdings such as corporate securities and real estate that have appreciated in value make great giving assets. The University of Idaho credits you for the full fair market value of the stock or land, and there are some favorable tax benefits.

Memorial or Honorary Gifts
To make a gift in memory or in honor of someone, attach a note with your gift that includes the name of the person you are memorializing or honoring. For memorial gifts, also include the family contact name(s) and address(es). For honorary gifts, include the address of the person you are honoring. We will send a card to the family/individual to notify them that you have made a gift. (The amount of your gift will not be revealed.)
If a special memorial fund or honorary fund has already been created in the person’s name, your gift will be credited to that account unless you tell us otherwise. If a special fund has not been created, your gift will be credited to the designation you indicate.
