What is kept in my placement file?
1. A placement file data form, access agreement form, and original letters of recommendation only (no resumes, transcripts, or other documents are kept in your placement file).

When can I establish my placement file?
At any time prior to graduation or up to 1 year after graduation or completion of teacher certification program (free of charge). Files may be established after this first year for a $25 fee.
How long are my letters of recommendation held?
In a competitive job market, it is to your benefit to have current job references. Outdated letters of recommendation may hurt your chances of getting an interview and ultimately the job! Because of this, a placement file will be retained for 10 years from date of last use.
How long is my placement file active?
Your file will remain active for 10 years from date of last usage, as noted above. You will receive five free file processing requests during the first calendar year of opening a file. Any additional file processing requests will be charged a fee, listed below.
After 10 years of inactivity, your entire placement file will be destroyed. You may re-establish a new placement file at any time in the future for a $25 fee.
