Soil Stewards "Dinner on the Farm"
The purpose of the event was to showcase the growth of the farm and to gain support from University officials in the quest for an academic program, and a full-time farm manager. Soil Stewards students spoke about their passion for small farms and highlighted the need for increased infrastructure and funding. Dr. Jodi Johnson-Maynard gave an eloquent speech about the history of the farm and plans for the future of Soil
Stewards.
The dinner was a huge success thanks to the following contributors: Pat Clelland and Dining Services, Aaron Mayhugh and University Support Services, Kevin Ketchie and The Office of the President, Roy Patten and the Parker Research Farm crew, Vandal Brand Meats, Sisters Brew Coffee, and Clearwater Canyon Cellars.

The farm is located at 1025 Plant Science Road on the Parker Research Farm. At the time of this post, the farm is winding down for the last few weeks of harvest. Come see us at the SUB from 4-6pm every Thursday afternoon.
