Chobani Scholars

The Chobani Scholars program is a multi-year scholarship program to support students with family connections to dairy farming and who plan to pursue a career in the dairy farming industry.

Funded by the Chobani Foundation, this scholarship program provides vital financial support to fuel the next generation of American dairy farmers. This scholarship is the first of its kind at the University of Idaho — a generous scholarship to develop and support future dairy farmers.

Students who have worked on dairy farms or have immediate family members who work on dairy farms, and who intend to pursue a degree in animal and veterinary science, agricultural economics, or agricultural systems management, are eligible for a $20,000 scholarship spread over four years. Priority will be given to students from the Magic Valley, home to Chobani.

In addition to the scholarship, Chobani Scholars will have the opportunity to intern with Chobani during their collegiate career.

The application process for this scholarship will be announced in fall 2018. The first Chobani Scholars will join the U of I family in fall 2019.
