CALS Communications
CALS Communications leads efforts in media relations, marketing, web communications, social media and digital media for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and UI Extension. This unit is responsible for developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies to enhance and support college strategic goals through the promotion of research, teaching and extension programs.
Services we provide
Fill out our Project Request form for assistance with marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, infographics, promotional items, advertisements, graphics, etc. Amy Calabretta is the marketing and communications manager for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and University of Idaho Extension.

We provide news, public information and media relations support for college and extension programs and events. John O'Connell is the public information officer and produces news releases and assists media by providing information and arranging interviews with faculty and staff.

We are responsible for the development, oversight and maintenance of CALS and UI Extension websites. Our team has access to Google Analytics and Qualtrics tools. We can also assist with customized HTML emails that are sent through MailChimp for tracking analytics.

Social media
CALS Communications manage the main CALS and UI Extension social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Flickr. We actively work with departments and organizations on and off campus to promote CALS and Extension activities on these channels.
