CALS Communications leads efforts in media relations, publishing and marketing for the college and Extension. This unit is responsible for developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies to enhance and support college strategic goals through the promotion of research, teaching and Extension programs.
Services we provide
CALS Communications works with UI Extension and the Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station to publish educational, research-based information for specialized audiences and the public. We publish digitally and in print, including e-books, videos and multimedia curricula.
Fill out our Project Request form for assistance with marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, infographics, promotional items, advertisements, graphics, etc. Amy Calabretta is the marketing and communications manager for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and University of Idaho Extension.

CALS Communications manages the main CALS and Extension social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr and Snapchat. We actively work with departments and organizations on and off campus to promote CALS and Extension activities on these channels. CALS Communications is responsible for the development, oversight and maintenance of CALS and Extension websites. Our team has access to Google Analytics and SurveyGizmo tools. We can also assist with customized HTML emails that are sent through MailChimp for tracking analytics.
