Undergraduate Research
Many of our professors receive grants from public or private sources to conduct research in addition to teaching. Whether it’s in the classroom as part of instruction, or an independent project, you will have the opportunity to conduct research that interests you.
Research is the cornerstone of any science, including both the hard sciences such as molecular biology or biochemistry and the social sciences such as human development, business management, or education. It refers to the organized, structured, and purposeful investigation to discover, interpret, and revise human knowledge.
Research involves collecting and analyzing information about a subject from a variety of sources including books, journals and the Internet, or by carrying out experiments or talking to people.
