The Idaho Soils Atlas features photos and information for 54 soils throughout the state, courtesy of the Pedology Laboratory. It highlights some of the prominent soil characteristics and properties found in the state and explains how these characteristics affect land use and management. 

This atlas is appropriate for all audiences, from soil scientists to those with little or no technical background in soil science. It also serves as an introduction to more complete information available in soil survey publications.
