Majors and Degrees
The Department of Plant, Soil and Entomological Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science in sustainable crop and landscape systems with five emphasis area options and a Bachelor of Science in sustainable food systems. Degree programs focus on the earth's biological and physical resources and allow students to pursue graduate education or careers in agriculture, horticulture, environmental science or an array of biological sciences.
The Department of Plant, Soil and Entomological Sciences offers master's and doctorate degrees in entomology, plant science and soil and land resources. Both thesis and non-thesis master's options are offered in entomology, plant science and soil science. Prior to admission, special permission is required for the non-thesis master's major in plant pathology.
Graduate students have access to one of the Pacific Northwest's outstanding insect collections and comprehensive entomological libraries, as well as our state-of-the-art biotechnology facility, soil monolith collection and a weed herbarium.
