"I must admit that this year is going a lot faster than last year. I feel that this is due to me being more involved than I was last year. I am not sure where October went because I feel like I was doing Ag Days and next thing I knew it was the end of the month. I have really enjoyed being a part of the CALS Ambassador program and just got done going down to southern Idaho to do high school presentations. This was a great experience and I can feel myself getting better at public speaking which was my overall goal.

I also really enjoyed to the chance to go to Washington, D.C. and represent the MSP scholars. That was an amazing experience that I will not forget! I am keeping myself active and have volunteered in a couple different activities, which have been great.

I will also be attending a Poverty Summit in Cottonwood, ID. I feel this will be a great experience and help me better understand what it is like to be in poverty. I also feel that it would be a good workshop to attend for my degree, considering I will be working with families and children from all types of backgrounds. Overall this semester has been great and has flown by almost in the blink of an eye. Next semester will be fun also because I get to take more classes towards my degree and I will be even that closer to becoming an alumni of the UI. Go VANDALS!!"
