U of I Holds CAFE Listening Sessions in Twin Falls, Nampa

The University of Idaho and its partners will hold meetings this week in Twin Falls and Nampa to discuss plans for its Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (CAFE). U of I officials will also hear comments from Idahoans on the university’s plan for the 2,000-cow agricultural research center that is slated to be the largest research dairy in the United States. The facility is planned for the Magic Valley, though a location has not yet been chosen. Read more

U of I Researcher Honored for Clean Water Innovations

University of Idaho researcher Greg Moller has been elected as a fellow of the National Academy of Inventors for his innovative work to clean wastewater. An environmental chemist and toxicologist, Moller works to lessen the environmental footprint of communities and businesses by developing filters to remove pollutants, including phosphorus and nitrogen, from wastewater. He holds six patents, which are licensed to industry, and has three patents pending final approval. His filter systems now treat billions of gallons of wastewater a year across the U.S. and in Great Britain and South Korea. Moller said he is humbled to be included with such a distinguished group of individuals. Read more

The National Academy of Inventors has elected University of Idaho researcher Greg Moller as a fellow of the academy for his innovative work to clean wastewater in Idaho and worldwide. Moller, a member of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences faculty since 1990, holds six patents. All of them are licensed by companies that treat wastewater from communities and businesses.
