The CALS 2013 Awards Banquet
For Alumni Awards: See the Alumni Sponsored tab.For non-Alumni Awards: The Procedures and Criteria document contains selection information, award criteria, departmental nomination procedures, packet submission and the awarding process for each of the award categories. Nomination Forms section contains the required nomination packet cover page for all awards, the FERPA form for student awards and the nomination packets for students, teachers, advisors and staff. The Selection Committee Resources section contains Scoring and Ranking Sheets for each award category. The Scoring Sheets are not intended to be a definitive guide to evaluating the nomination packets and are provided as a convenience only. Only the Ranking Sheet is returned to Academic Programs.
Packet Submission Procedures
- Nomination packets must be submitted electronically — email, CD or flash drive.
- Packets must be sent as ONE file per nominee (i.e., a student nominee’s file would consist of the following: cover page, essay, transcript, resume and letters of support). Information sent separately or as an “addition” will not be included for reviewer consideration. The Nomination Packet will be converted to PDF files and put on the web site for review by the selection committee.
- Files sent or submitted must be clearly identified with the nominee’s name, nominating department and award category.
- In addition to the nomination packet, a photograph of the nominee and 4 – 5 bulletpoints regarding the accomplishments of the nominee need to be submitted. This information will be used during the award presentation ceremony at the banquet.
