Pre-Vet Club
The Pre-Veterinary Club consists of students interested in Veterinary Science and those who have a passion for Animal Health. Their mission is to promote interest in Veterinary Medicine, expose Pre-veterinary students to Veterinary Medicine through films, clinics, tours, and guest speakers. The club also gives pre-veterinary students a chance to meet other people interested in Veterinary Medicine and gives an edge to individuals applying for Veterinary School. Club members participate in many different activities and events within the industry and community. Pre-Vet Club frequently hosts guest speakers from all over the country who give presentations on the industry or provide information on acceptance to Veterinary Schools.
Students visit the local humane society, local veterinary practices, zoos, and also travel to local horse rescue facilities, Cat Tales, and the Wolf Research Center. This provides hands-on experience for anybody interested in becoming a vet. For more information contact Dr. Christopher Schneider.
