Dairy Club
Members of Dairy Club participate in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Back to School Picnic, sell milkshakes as part of the Ag Days Food Fair, and host the annual Ag Days Dairy Judging competition for 4-H and FFA members who travel from all over Idaho and areas of Washington. In addition to Ag Days festivities, Dairy Club members are involved in fundraisers including a Wine and Cheese Tasting and Silent Auction Event held during Mom’s Weekend on campus, a cheese sale, and the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences corn maze. The funds from these events go towards club clothing, fun events such as bowling and movie nights and most importantly, the National Dairy Convention held in Reno. This conference is a great chance for students to meet members of the industry, network with possible employers and learn more about animal health, animal handling and other progressive methods of dairying.
Members also have the chance to share their knowledge with the public and fellow students by displaying facts about the dairy industry, distributing milk products and discussing current agricultural issues during Dairy Days held each spring.
