About AVS

The Department of Animal and Veterinary Science (AVS) prepares students for careers in the fields of animal science-production, dairy science, agribusiness, range livestock management and pre-veterinary science.

In a fast-changing agricultural industry, AVS prides itself on staying at the forefront of animal science. We will provide you with a wide range of curriculum choices in traditional production sciences, as well as the high-tech area of biotechnology. You will receive both hands on experience and classroom instruction.
