Dr. Erik Anderson rejoined the faculty in the Department of Agricultural Education & 4-H Youth Development in 2012. He previously was a faculty member in the department from 1997 to 2001 when he performed the role of Distance Education Specialist. Dr. Anderson has served the University of Idaho since 1988.
Dr. Anderson was the Interim Director of Academic Programs for the University of Idaho’s Coeur d’Alene campus from 2008 through 2011. He also served as Director of Educational Communications in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences from 2001 to 2008.
From 1990 to 1997, Dr. Anderson was an Assistant Professor and Telecommunications Specialist in the Agricultural Communications Center. From 1988 to 1990, he served as Electronic Media Specialist in the Agricultural Communications Center stationed at the University of Idaho Boise Center.
Before coming to work at the University of Idaho, Dr. Anderson also worked as a Video Producer for the Colleges of Agriculture at South Dakota State University (1986-87) and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1985-86).
Dr. Anderson has expertise is in distance education and instructional technology. He has been actively involved with the national online eXtension initiative since 2005.
