Rick A. Dirksen Memorial Scholarship

Two memorial scholarships were established through contributions to the Idaho FFA Foundation in memory of Rick A. Dirksen. One scholarship is available to a graduating senior at Kendrick High School and another scholarship to a graduating senior at Meridian High School. The scholarships are funded through the University of Idaho Endowed Scholarship Fund in the name of Rick A. Dirksen. Rick Dirksen was an active vocational agriculture student and FFA member at Meridian High School (1973-1977), a graduate of the University of Idaho in Agricultural Education in 1981, and taught vocational agriculture in Kendrick, Idaho from 1981 to June, 1983.

Scholarship requirements

Kendrick - First priority is given to a graduating senior who is seeking a degree in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Idaho. Second priority is given to a graduating senior who is planning to attend the University of Idaho.

Meridian - First priority is given to a graduating senior who is planning to major in Agricultural Education at the University of Idaho. Second priority is given to a graduating senior who is seeking a degree in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Idaho.

Both scholarships are based on need, scholastic record, personal qualifications, FFA and other leadership activities.
