The Lou E. Riesenberg scholarship will be available to full-time undergraduate students of any class standing (including incoming freshman) who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education – Teaching Option offered through the Department of Agricultural and Extension Education.
The primary basis for recipient selection will be the individual’s potential as a public secondary school agricultural education instructor as evidenced by the letter of application.
Candidates' cumulative grade point average will not be the primary basis for selection; however, recipients must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 2.75 on a scale of 4.0.
The Agricultural and Extension Education scholarship committee may use its discretion in utilizing additional selection criteria in the selection process. This will include diversity, financial need, and involvement and/or leadership in community activities.
