Prichard Art Gallery 2011-12 Exhibition Schedule
August 19 – October 2, 2011
Reception: Friday August 25, 5-8pm
Bill Bowler, I Have Come All This Way And There Is Nothing To See.
Work by the architect who designed the Prichard and exhibited in 1989. In recent years he has been revisiting some of his earlier work with the accumulated knowledge and renewed interest for the importance of perception to the human understanding of our surroundings.

David Giese & Charlotte Buchanan will reminisce about the Moscow Mardi Gras Parade and Ball that were central to the arts scene in Moscow in the 1980s & 90s.

Join the Prichard in celebrating this milestone. There will be live music by Finn Riggins and Atomic Mama; food and drinks by Casa Lopez and NYJohnny’s; amazing costumes inspired by the Mardi Gras floats; celebrity judges and a good time for everyone.

Anna Marie Boles, Here and There: Meditations on Mapping
Johanna Hayes, Exhibit Curator
Work of Idaho artists Jan and Anna-Marie Boles. Johanna Hayes, the Prichard's first director, is curating this exhibit. Hayes chose the Boles for their consistently excellent work and the exhibit also supports the core role the Prichard has played in highlighting important Idaho artists. Jan Boles will be exhibiting a series of panoramic photographs and Anna Marie will be exhibiting paintings and drawings.

Prichard Biennial Benefit Auction
Live Auction, Saturday Feb. 11, 7pm
The Prichard Auction is a highlight of the Moscow and Palouse art scene. Over the years it has made more than $250,000 in artworks available for purchase to the public. It is one of the major fundraising events of Friends of Prichard Art Gallery and supports the exhibition and educational programs of the gallery.

Uncommon River
Gail Siegel Exhibit Curator
Gail Siegel is the Prichard’s immediate past director and curator of “Uncommon River.” Work by artists Christine Destrempes, Christo & Jeane-Claude, Raymond Ghirardo & Megan Roberts, Philip Govedare, and Jen Torres are included. They explore the concept of rivers from a variety of perspectives. Rivers touch all lives directly or indirectly, but particularly so in the Pacific Northwest and Idaho where agriculture, industry, commerce, energy, recreation, tourism, transportation and countless jobs depend on rivers and where rivers are central to public policy debates on water rights, endangered species and wilderness preservation.
