Arlan Collins | Managing Partner, CollinsWoerman - Seattle, WA
Arlan Collins of CollinsWoerman has 30 years of experience, including 20 years as a managing partner. Collins manages multiple projects for leading Northwest organizations, agencies and complex science and technology facilities. He is recognized as an innovator in his approach to client services and in managing the regulatory and community review process. He has five children, and resides in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. In his spare time, he enjoys running and fly-fishing.

Megan Cook | Designer, Teacher, Speaker
Megan Cook is an alumna of the Studio Art & Design Program. By day, she is a graphic designer at The Center for Sales Strategy. By night, she is an adjunct graphic design instructor at Walla Walla Community College, where she is involved in community outreach, teaching graphic design courses at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. Her most recent adventure involves developing her business, Designing Sunshine, a business about shedding light into the shadows of this world.

Claudia Day, LEED AP ID+C | Sales Manager, OEC - Boise, ID
Claudia Day oversees the healthcare team at commercial furniture, flooring, and technology company, OEC. Day holds a BS in Political Science from BSU and an MBA in Sustainable Business from Marylhurst University. She is a cSBA (certified Sustainable Building Advisor), has completed the LEED for Healthcare course and is studying for the EDAC certification. Day is currently working with regional architects and designers to create a Lean Construction Institute Community of Practice for the Treasure Valley area.
Mark A. Engberg, AIA, LEED AP | COLAB Architecture + Urban Design, LLC - Portland, OR
Mark Engberg of COLAB Architecture + Urban Design has 28 years of experience, including 18 years as principal. Engberg received a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University and a bachelor’s from University of Idaho. Engberg has a diverse portfolio of design work in the fields of urban design, architecture and branding with clients including Disney, ABC Television, Ferrari, E-Trade and Nike.

Kent Hanway | President and Principal Architect at CSHQA - Boise, Idaho
Kent Hanway is President of CSHQA a full service architecture and engineering firm based in Boise, Idaho with 90 employees in five regional offices including Spokane, central Oregon, Sacramento, Denver and Phoenix. The firm offers broad experience in many diverse project types with special expertise in retail, commercial, education, healthcare, and aviation and government projects. Kent joined CSHQA upon graduating from the University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1985. His primary architectural focus during his design career was providing services to national retailers and developers of commercial centers. He is NCARB certified and registered to practice architecture in 28 states and two Canadian provinces. He is a member of American Institute of Architects (AIA), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Kent is a graduate of the Leadership Boise program and was acknowledged in the Idaho Business Review’s ’40 Accomplished Under 40’ program. He has served as a member of the Boise Metro Chamber Council, including leadership positions on the Executive Board, is currently a member of Idaho Power’s Energy Efficiency Advisory Group and serves as Vice-Chair, Programs for ULI Idaho District. Under Kent’s presidency CSHQA recently relocated to new offices in a 60-year-old urban warehouse, completely renovated by the firm. The building and its systems are a living laboratory for architects and engineers to test and experience advanced systems. The project is receiving recognition and awards for sustainability and is LEED registered with the goal of Platinum.

Jim Heid | UrbanGreen - San Francisco, CA
Jim Heid is an advisor, land planner, developer and founder of UrbanGreen, with over thirty years of experience focusing on projects that provide a positive contribution to their environment, region and residents. Heid holds a degree in landscape architecture from University of Idaho and a Master’s in Real Estate Development from MIT’s Center for Real Estate. A CLARB Registered Landscape Architect and also works with sister firm, Pathway Real Estate Partners.

Monty Hill, AIA, NCARB, IIDA | TVA Architects – Portland, OR
Monty Hill has been with TVA Architects Inc. for 15-years. Hill’s experience includes cultural and museum projects, mixed-use high-rise towers, private residences, large-scale corporate campuses, and healthcare facility planning. Most recently, Hill has acted as Principal-in-Charge for a wide range of projects in southern Oregon. He is currently an active board member of the Center for Innovative School Facilities of Oregon.

The excitement and dynamics of working through the planning, design and construction process with building committees and community groups are opportunities that Dave genuinely enjoys. His skill at bringing groups to consensus has benefited many school districts throughout the region including Spokane Public Schools, Freeman School District and Plummer-Worley School District. Dave also serves as the Principal who oversees ALSC's Coeur d'Alene office. Dave is President of the AIA Washington Council and serves on the State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction’s School Facilities Technical Advisory Committee. He is a member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) as well as the Spokane Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has served as a juror on numerous design award competitions. Dave earned his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Idaho, College of Art and Architecture in 1983.

Steve Johnson | Parsons Brinckerhoff
Steve Johnson is a project manager and task lead for the Project Visualization group within Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and consulting firm that recently celebrated its 125th anniversary. Steve joined the Seattle PB office after graduating from the University of Idaho in 2005 with a degree in Virtual Technology and Design as part of its inaugural graduating class. In the 10 years with the firm he has had the opportunity to work on some of the largest public infrastructure projects in the world, as well as partnering with many local architecture and real estate development firms.

Scott L Jones, J.D. | Raytheon Missile Systems - Waltham, MA
Scott Jones is the general counsel and Vice President for Raytheon Missile Systems. He leads the Missile Systems Legal organization and oversees legal services and compliance to enable business growth and financial goal achievement. Jones holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from University of Idaho, a master’s degree from Columbia University and his Juris Doctor from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

Jeremy Malone has been with Oppenheimer Development Corporation since 1991 serving in various capacities to his current role as Vice President. Malone earned his Construction Management Certificate and a degree in business administration from Boise State University and his Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from Building Owners & Managers Institute (BOMI) International. He is currently President of the Downtown Boise Association and is Co-Chairman for Jaialdi 2015.

Tim McGough graduated from the University of Idaho in 1984 with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture. In 1995 he co-founded The Stainton-McGough Group, which eventually became McGough Group in 2005. McGough’s experience includes grading, drainage, site planning, hardscape design, horticulture and construction. Tim is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Arizona and an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

Jonathan Mueller is currently a senior landscape architect with Landmark, a landscape architectural studio of Architects West in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, that he helped establish in 1984. Mueller received a BLA from the University of Idaho where he has served as part of the adjunct faculty for the LA program. Mueller has also served on the Idaho State Board of Landscape Architects and has been a CLARB representative for the board. He is a licensed in six states and is CLARB certified.

Christopher Olin | 2.ink Studio - Portland, OR
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Idaho with recent experience at Koch Landscape Architecture. Christopher’s passion is the transformation of “space” to “place”, providing the technical prowess necessary to connect functions with their built forms. Chris is currently serving on the Oregon American Society for Landscape Architects (ASLA) Executive Committee and was recently selected to serve on the University of Idaho’s College of Art and Architecture Advisory Council. At 2.ink Studio, Christopher is working on the Burnside Bridgehead, Block 17 Apartments, the Block 15 Point Tower, and Washington Park Reservoir project.

Chris earned a bachelors degree from the Lionel Hampton School of Music in 1992. He has worked in corporate marketing and communications, brand strategy, design, music performance and recording, and is currently the Web Designer at North Idaho College.

Dawn Pfeiffer | Interior Design - Coeur d’ Alene, ID
Dawn has served a wide clientele as an Interior Designer for over thirty years. Her work has focused on residential interior design, including new construction, restoration, and comprehensive remodels. She has collaborated over the years with builders, architects, developers and home-owners in Idaho, Montana, Washington and Oregon. She currently lives and works in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Dawn is a graduate of the University of Idaho.
Mandi Roberts, AICP, PLA, ASLA | Principal, otak – Seattle, WA
Mandi Roberts has more than 25 years of experience in urban planning and design, landscape architecture and public and stakeholder engagement. She has led interdisciplinary teams on projects throughout the United States and abroad focusing on smart growth, land use and transportation planning, congestion management in national parks, visitor use and interpretation, planning and management for scenic byways, and design of the public realm. Roberts holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from University of Idaho and a Low Impact Development Certificate from Washington State University.

Katie Solomon, BID, MBA
Katie is an alumna of Interior Design Program, is an Analyst on the EIT Strategy + Customer Engagement team at T-Mobile in Bellevue, Washington, focusing on corporate sustainability, and women empowerment through engagement in STEM fields. Prior to the current focus, Katie began her career in the Interior Design industry after graduating from the University of Idaho in 2004. Her work included a number of large scale corporate campuses for technology companies located in Seattle, Washington and Mountain View, California. Katie also received her MBA from Bainbridge Graduate Institute in 2012.
Angie Tomisser, AICP, PLA ASLA | Mithun - Seattle, WA
A graduate from the College of Art and Architecture at the University of Idaho, Angie has since worked for notable architectural firms in the Seattle metropolitan area. In 2009 Angie received her certificate from the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) and in 2012 became an accredited LEED Green Associate with the US Green Building Council. Tomisser plays an active role as a board member of the Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands Project in her neighborhood in South Seattle.
