Elizabeth merges the art and science of landscape architecture in teaching methods of design and site engineering. Educated by her professional practice experience in the realms of landscape architecture, civil engineering, and architecture, her approach to designing, planning and maintaining the built environment is multi-disciplinary and holistic. Her experience includes historic preservation of Olmsted’s Emerald Necklace in Boston with Pressley Associates, Inc., site planning and engineering throughout New England with Mohr & Seredin Landscape Architects, residential architecture and planning in Texas with Lake|Flato Architects, Inc., and teaching landscape architecture at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She also spent two years learning, living and practicing organic architecture and planning at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Spring Green, Wis. Elizabeth is currently Principal Investigator of Emerge Studio, serving as a sustainable design advisor and collaborator in bringing Earth From Above to the United States.
