Bachelor of Interior Design Student Achievement Data

The Interior Design Program, located in the College of Art and Architecture, is proud of the success of our graduates. A number of graduates continue their education by pursuing a graduate degree, often times following the seamless BID/MArch option we offer in collaboration with the Architecture program. Additionally, graduates have a new option available, the Master of Integrated Architecture and Design, offered by our college.

Job Placement

93% of the students who graduated in May 2013 and actively searched for employment in the design discipline were employed by January 1, 2014.

Acceptance into Graduate Programs

100% of students from the May 2013 graduating class who applied (3 total) to graduate school were accepted. Schools include University of Idaho/Master of Architecture Program and Pratt Institute.

Graduation Rates

81% of 3rd year students admitted into the Interior Design Program from the class of 2013 graduated in 4 years. Incoming students are considered Pre-ID until their 3rd year. After 2nd year, students submit a portfolio for admission to the 3rd year. 


100% of the 3rd year students admitted into the Interior Design Program from the class of 2013 enrolled during the spring 2012 semester returned in fall 2013, putting attrition at 0%. 83.3% of the 1st year students with a declared major in Interior Design who enrolled in fall 2012 returned in the fall of 2013, putting attrition at 16.7%.
