Prichard Store: We sell local and regional items
In a time when local + sustainable + green are the cornerstone of many advertising campaigns, it really makes you think about where the products you buy are coming from. Personally, it has always been a joy to buy items at the Farmer’s Market where you can connect with the people who grow and make the items they are selling. The same approach is used to select items to sell in the Prichard Art Gallery Gift Store. The store supports the local and regional artists and craftspeople. This connects artists, community and businesses, strengthening those relationships. The direction for the store is to be sustainable and supportive of local and regional artisans. The profits from store sales provide meaningful income to the maker – keeping that money in the community. It also supports exhibitions and educational outreach - keeping downtown vibrant.
When you buy something from the store don’t forget to ask for your 5% or 10% Member’s Discount if you are a current Friend of the Prichard! If you have never donated to the Prichard, ask the Gallery Monitor how you can become a Friend.
The Friends of the Prichard Gallery have created a special collection of their own recipes for you. It is in a beautiful cedar box and would make a delightful gift for yourself or a loved one.
