The College of Art and Architecture provides well-rounded, hands-on experience and that is what our students experience in our technical design studio. Our state-of-the-art technical design studio has all of the latest tools and equipment necessary for studio projects and building sessions. Students in all of our programs have the opportunity to put their design skills to use in the shop and create anything from furniture to models to frames for artwork.
Director, Jay Pengilly, provides an in-depth training and shop safety orientation for all students who will be using the technical design studio. This training must be completed before they are allowed access to the shop. These orientations are normally scheduled through your class instructor, though you may contact the shop director if you have somehow missed the assigned training.
