Students are also actively involved in professional conferences and organizations, such as the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects, the Urban Land Institute and the U.S. Green Building Council.
Quality academics.
Architecture and landscape architecture courses at the IURDC are taught by faculty members who are seasoned design professionals with extensive urban experience in large metropolitan areas throughout the nation. Elective courses are available at Boise State University. Students also have access to full library services.
Firsthand learning about sustainable materials and technologies.
Students take annual tours of buildings certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) during construction and after completion to learn directly from designers, builders and owners about sustainable design and building practices.
