Information for Students
If you’re a student between grades nine and twelve, here’s an opportunity to show off your creativity, knowledge, and inspiration! Whether you’re interested in science, art, or both, this is an event in which you should get involved.
What do you think about the relationship between science and art? Most people don’t put those words together in the same sentence, but the two aren’t as different as you might think. After all, art imitates life, and science describes life. How would you present your ideas about this relationship? And if you can’t think of anything, two heads might be better than one. If you’re more into art, why not find someone who’s into science or vice-versa? Team projects are encouraged. For a perfect example of drawing art and science together, check out the work of Dr. Holly Wichman.
Your finished product will be viewed by college and graduate students, professors, and maybe even thousands of your peers. And don’t forget the prizes. (And of course, your participation never hurts on a college application, either).
