Art, B.A.
The Bachelor of Arts in Art provides a broad, liberal arts education with an emphasis in art. The program combines studio experiences with courses in art, humanities and languages. Students must complete the University’s general requirements for a B.A. degree, including a foreign language requirement.
What You Learn
The B.A. Art program combines studio instruction with the study of art and design history and theory, and courses in humanities, languages and social sciences. You will study and learn to appreciate art and design and develop broad-based knowledge in studio art and design. The program offers coursework in the following areas:

Many firms and businesses recognize the skills and studio experiences of our graduates as valuable in non-art related careers, such as law, medicine and banking. The B.A. Art also prepares you for graduate studies in such fields as art history, visual culture, philosophy, library science, business and arts management.
