When you give to the art and design program, you invest in the quality of our programs and future of our students. Your gifts create a legacy that guarantees the accessibility of a quality education, especially to students who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of today's college education.
Scholarships and Endowments
Your support allows the art and design program to provide scholarships to several qualified students every year. Our scholarships are awarded through a competitive application process and are based on need and/or merit as designated by the scholarship criteria.
In most cases, donors establish the scholarship criteria designation and may also name the scholarship in their own honor or in the memory of a loved one.
Typically, scholarships are in the form of endowed scholarships or annually funded scholarships.
Endowed Scholarships - Gifts in larger amounts, sometimes made over a five-year period can establish a named endowed scholarship. The original gift is permanently invested, and only the interest income is awarded in the form of scholarships each year.
The George Roberts Endowment helps us bring high-quality artists and designers to our campus, thus ensuring that our students gain direct and meaningful experience with artists and designers activity engaged in their professions.
The George Wray Visiting Artists Endowment will help bring artists and designers to the University to offer new courses and interact with students and faculty for an extended period of time. They bring a vibrant connection to the professional world of art and design.
