More than ever, leaders with design skills and minds are needed to address the confounding problems of our day as well as shape the built environment.  The College of Art and Architecture will ensure our graduates are uniquely prepared to do the designer’s job of extending the boundaries of thought and generating new solutions, as will be demonstrated by the demand for our graduates and the value they create in a broad range of rewarding careers.

At the College of Art and Architecture we stress the poetic merger of artistic expression, technology, and design thinking. No wonder we offer degrees in architecture, art and design, interior design, landscape architecture, and virtual technology and design all in one college. Our students experiment, take risks, build things, and learn to solve problems by integrating knowledge and relationships with other professionals. Whether designing energy efficient, high performance buildings or creating gaming programs, constructing wearable sculpture or configuring urban open space systems, they enjoy personalized attention from dedicated faculty members with a sense of adventure. They emerge with excellent preparation for traditional professional careers. Just as important, they create their own careers, often in jobs not yet in existence.
