The population of the Magic Valley grew over 17% in the past ten years. Many new businesses have moved into Twin Falls and it is now an economic hub for the region. The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) serves the Magic Valley as a comprehensive two-year college. With over 9,000 students per semester, CSI continues to seek opportunities for their students to complete a bachelor’s degree without leaving the community. The University of Idaho partners with CSI to deliver live and online bachelor's and graduate programs. In addition, the University has plans to construct a new Center for Livestock and Environmental Studies. The primary focus of this state-of-the-art science research center will be on the environmental and energy issues surrounding large, Western-style animal-feeding operations.
