Purpose
The University offers various tools and resources that can support you on your journey to good health. All employees are eligible to participate in the Campus Recreation, Wellness Fairs, EAP, and Tobacco Cessation support. All other programs are for medical participants only.
Wellness Program
The University of Idaho Wellness Program is through Campus Recreation. The program includes:
- Organized exercise sessions with trained instructors including swimming, jogging, aerobics, dance, calisthenics
- Individual guided self-paced exercise program
Both options include individualized health factors inventory and pre-test of resting EKG pulmonary capacity and full stress test prior to beginning exercise. The program also includes seminars on nutrition, exercise and stress management.
Fees are payable on initial enrollment or through payroll deduction of $5.50 per pay period.

Wellness Fairs
Free personal health screening (e.g., cholesterol and glucose level testing, blood pressure measurement, and a height/weight and body composition assessment). Seasonal flu shots may also be available. Wellness fairs are typically offered each fall.
