The University offers various tools and resources that can support you on your journey to good health. All benefit eligible employees may participate in the Campus Recreation Wellness Program and the EAP. Tobacco Cessation support is available for employees participating in the medical plan.
The University of Idaho Wellness Program is through Campus Recreation. The program includes:
- A full schedule of classes available to fit your needs. Offering approximately 120 classes a week from yoga, Zumba, weight training, TRX, chisel and scupt and the option to work out on your own are just a few of the choices. Classes run all year, so it is always a great time to start.
- Personal trainers are on the floor during Open Fitness class times to answer your questions. Additionally we offer Personal Training Services at a low cost to serve your needs.
- All trainers and instructors hold national accredited certifications.
- If you have questions about what classes are best for you, please stop by the office located in the SRC, call, or send an email.
Fees are payable on initial enrollment or through payroll deduction of $6.50 per pay period.

Tobacco Cessation Support
As part of Healthcare Reform, the Tobacco Cessation Support program has been expanded and now includes most generic prescriptions and support free of cost. It is no longer necessary to fill out a reimbursement form. Simply obtain a prescription from your doctor and go to any in-network pharmacy to have it filled using your CVS Caremark card.
Free introductory meditation program is available from 12:00 to 12:25 pm every Wednesday in Room 012 of the Niccolls Building on the Moscow Campus. No registration is necessary for these drop in sessions.
