SFC Thomas J. VanOvermeer entered the Army in 1996 from Webster City, IA. Attended Basic Training and Advance Individual Training at Ft. Knox, KY as a 19K Tank Armor Crewman. He has been stationed in Camp Casey, Korea and Ft. Carson, CO. He deployed to Iraq twice with the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment. He then was stationed at Ft. Know, KY and reclassed to a 19D Scout. His next duty station was Schweinfurt, Germany and deployed to Iraq again. He has been the Military Science Instructor since August 2010.
