CPT Lonna M. Lyon originally entered the Army as an enlisted 91B Field Medic. She went to Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, S.C. and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. She then spent her next few years in Wiesbaden, Germany and Ft. Riley, KS. Since then she went back to school and acquired her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, worked as an Emergency Room Nurse, raised her children and returned to the Army in April 2008 as a direct Commissioned 1st Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. She has been a Reserve Army Nurse Officer with the 396th Combat Support Hospital has gone on a Humanitarian Mission to Colombia, South America and is now in an ADOS (Active Duty) position as the Executive Officer For the UI ROTC Program since October, 2011.
