Army ROTC | Department of Military Science
Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) provides leadership training which will help in any career, and is a great combination with any college major. As well as a University of Idaho degree, you’ll receive the gold bars of a U.S. Army Second Lieutenant. Cadets get hands-on experience with how to motivate others and lead groups, and are mentored by veteran Army officers and NCOs.
The University of Idaho Army ROTC program has a proven track record of producing successful cadets who go on to be successful officers in the Active Duty Army, the National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. We’re aided by a location in the scenic Palouse which provides superb nearby training sites. Our tight-knit group of cadets has a tremendous camaraderie forged in ROTC activities, including our annual raft and ski trips.
