Three individuals will be honored during the Kootenai County Silver and Gold Celebration June 6. Lola Hagadone will receive Honorary Alumni Recognition for providing faithful service to the university and John '80 '85 and Linda '83 Mitchell will receive the Jim Lyle Award for long-term dedication and service to the University and the Alumni Association through volunteerism.
Join us in celebrating their achievements, yet another point of pride for the University of Idaho.

Sculptures from University of Idaho Assistant Professor Casey Doyle's Intermediate and Advanced Sculpture class have been installed at the Moscow Intermodal Transit Center on the corner of Sweet Avenue and Railroad Street. The community voted from twenty sculptures, and installations from McCandless Pierce, Richard Comstock, John Liposchak and Emily Scharnhorst are shown here.

For public relations graduate Britt Kiser, it was the simple act of joining a group that shaped her university career. Four years after she pledged Alpha Phi, the recent managing editor of the student-run newspaper The Argonaut has made the most of opportunities that came her way and is ready to face the post-graduation world.

Chinook by the Numbers

Spring is here, Chinook salmon are swimming from the Pacific Ocean to the Idaho hatcheries and rivers where they were born – and anglers are waiting for them. But how do state management agencies balance the need for adequate numbers of Chinook in the fisheries against anglers’ desire to stock their larders?
Thanks to Josh McCormick, a recent graduate of the University of Idaho College of Natural Resources, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, or IDFG, now has improved tools for managing Idaho’s Chinook salmon population.
