With the arrival of 2013, our staff is busily planning the sorts of events you look forward to each year. From New York City to Jonesboro, Ark. and destinations West of here, we’re organizing opportunities for you to reconnect with your alma mater and other proud Vandals.
Next week, we’ll participate in University of Idaho events in Boise for Education Week with our state legislators. Members of our staff, our alumni board of directors, students, faculty and other proud Vandals will also gather at a number of public activities around town as well as in state capitol to show support for our flagship institution. Vandals Blanket Boise
The University of Idaho will again pull out all the stops for Education Week, Jan. 21-25, which includes President M. Duane Nellis’ Jan. 23 presentation before the Joint Finance Appropriations Committee at the Statehouse. Live streaming video of the event will be available on Idaho Public Television’s website.
Here’s a run-down of some of the additional U-Idaho activities next week:
- Jan. 22, 6:30 p.m., Meet the Vandals recruiting reception, Red Lion Hotel Downtown, 1800 Fairview Avenue
- Jan. 23, 7-10 a.m., Legislative Breakfast, Capitol Rotunda, fourth floor
- Jan. 23, 6 p.m., Reception for Ada County recipients of this year’s Silver and Gold Awards, The Grove Hotel, 245 S. Capitol Boulevard

Vandal Plates Generate $43,550 in 2012

With your support and participation, the University of Idaho was able to award $43,550 in general academic scholarships from the proceeds of the Idaho Vandal license plates!
Please call (208) 334-8649 or visit your county Department of Motor Vehicles in Idaho to purchase an Idaho Vandal license plate.
Custom Idaho Vandal I message plates are available and in addition to vehicle registration fees, this customized plate will cost $60 for the first year with a $40 renewal fee each year thereafter. Click HERE to order your plates.
Joe Knows...You Can Tune in to the Vandal Hoops Radio
The U.S. Bank-sponsored Vandal Coaches' basketball talk show is broadcast live from The Ale House, 226 W. Sixth St., Moscow. Coaches Don Verlin and Jon Newlee join host Evan Ellis, the voice of Vandal basketball. Programs air on Tuesdays through March 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.
