Mom's Weekend 2013

Free Student Recreation Center passes available all day for those accompanied by an Idaho student.

  • 1 – 5 p.m. -- Official Idaho Ring Program Sales at the VandalStore
    Where: 710 Deakin Avenue

    Purchase your official University of Idaho ring at this special sale. UI Juniors who order this weekend will receive rings at the Second Annual Ring Ceremony on Saturday, November 2. Other sales are available.
  • 3:30 p.m. -- Iron Mom in VandalStore Plaza
    Where: 710 Deakin Avenue
    Cost: $10 per team

    Vandal moms and their student compete in fun challenges to see which mom is the top Iron Mom.
  • 4 p.m. -- Tradition Keeper Tour
    Where: 710 Deakin Avenue
    Cost: Free
    Share University of Idaho traditions with your Mom. Members of SArb will lead you to 10 traditional campus locations, and verify you have completed each one. Bring your Traditions Book and be on your way to becoming an official Traditions Keeper. Books can be purchased for $12 at the Idaho VandalStore and lapel pins will be awarded for those who complete 15 traditions.

    Don’t miss your chance to get a sneak peek at the 2013 Vandal Football team under the guidance of Coach Paul Petrino. The 2013-2014 Vandal Game Day T-Shirt will be revealed during the game.
  • 7 p.m. -- ASUI Student Achievement Awards

    Student Achievement Awards in Leadership and Service awards ceremony recognizes positive contributions of students, faculty and staff that benefit student activities, the campus and the community. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony. Open to all, formal invitations will be sent to recipients and their family members.
  • 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. -- ASUI Vandal Entertainment Film
    Where: Student Union Building Borah Theater

  • 7:30 p.m. -- “Mr. Idaho” Pageant
    Where: Memorial Gym
    Cost: Students $3, General admission $5 
    Sponsored by the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, University of Idaho men compete for the title of "Mr. Idaho." Funds raised go to support the fight against juvenile diabetes and leadership programs for women.
