The Heritage Society was founded in 1993 to recognize alumni and friends of the University of Idaho who have made a future commitment through planned gifts to support the strategic initiatives and goals of the University through student scholarships, faculty enhancements, classroom facilities, and transformational programs.
In 1993, the Heritage Society numbered just over 100, but today, there are more than 500 members of our Heritage Society, and new names are being added continually. Many Heritage Society members are regular annual contributors, and some have even made major lifetime gifts, although neither of these is a prerequisite.
Donors who become members of the Heritage Society can be certain that future generations of students and staff will benefit from their foresight and generosity. From time to time, selected Heritage Society members will also be featured, with their permission, in the Annual Report, Alumni Magazine, Idaho Outlook, and other University and college newsletters and publications. To become a member, just let us know you have provided for the University through your estate plan, and your name will be added to this prestigious list.
