WebEdit served the University well as the primary website management system for many years until the Sitecore CMS was implemented in 2008. Since maintaining two web content management systems is a strain on resources the Web Communications Team has been working to shutdown the WebEdit content management system by January 1, 2013. By the end of April, 2012 the Web Communications Team reviewed all 138 websites remaining in WebEdit and determined a plan for each one. Since that time the team has been working to migrate all active content to the Sitecore system.
Status as of October 31
Since April, the Web Team has migrated and/or eliminated 87 WebEdit websites leaving only 51 to manage before the end of the year. This table shows the websites left to migrate and/or eliminate and the dates planned for this action.
Questions and concerns regarding specific websites affected by this plan can be directed to the Web Coordinator assigned to the website. Contact Ron Shaw, Web Coordinator for Finance and Administration or call (208) 885-7094 for general questions or concerns about the shutdown plan.
